The latest Solarix Luminous branded 12V 180AH Flooded Tall Tubular Battery is designed for frequent power cuts due to loadshedding and provide up to 30% longer service life than standard AGM Gel flat plate batteries and designed to have a life of over 1250 cycles at 80% Depth of Discharge (DOD) due to the unique patented alloy composition. Made using rugged tubular plates that require minimum maintenance and can withstand long and frequent power cuts.

What’s more, battery maintenance for the Luminous tubular battery has been made easy by design. With provided 6 level water management indicators that extend above each battery cell, checking the battery is as simple as ABC – just a glance at the indicator tells if there is any need for a top-up. And if there is (which could be once in a quarter), you simply top with distilled water. That’s really all the trouble you need to take. Best of all, when the tubular battery eventually begins to lose strength (that is, the electrolyte gets weaker), you can revitalise it with a complete electrolyte change and boost charging.
